[muokkaa | muokkaa wikitekstiä]Källman aloitti käsipallon pelaamisen vuotiaana Karjaan BKssä vuonna ja pelasi seuran edustusjoukkueessa – Seuraavana vuonna hän siirtyi ammattilaiseksi SaksanBundesliganSG Wallau-Massenheimiin. Wallau-Massenheimissä hänet valittiin parhaaksi ulkomaalaiseksi pelaajaksi neljä kautta ja yleisö valitsi hänet Bundesligan parhaimmaksi pelaajaksi Hän voitti Saksan mestaruuden kaksi kertaa, Saksan cupin kaksi kertaa, Saksan supercupin kerran ja EHF-cupin kerran. Yhdeksän vuoden jälkeen Källman palasi Suomeen ja pelasi Ekenäs IF:ssä yhden kauden. Tämän jälkeen Källman siirtyi taas Saksaan, TUSEM Esseniin missä hän pelasi kaksi vuotta. Uran päätteeksi Källman pelasi BKssa – Yhteensä Källman teki SM-sarjassa maalia.

This year has been a different one considering the restrictions all over Europe due to the Covid pandemic and with his side one of the worst hit, Källman is of course well aware of the challenges involved.
"Will have to try and adapt as well as possible and show our supporters that we still are a strong team, especially at home. If we want to reach the top we have to win our home games.
Szeged are one of the strongest home teams in Europe and have won 17 straight home games in Europe's top flight.
"If I am being completely honest I had no idea about that before you told me. I don’t think about records at all. I am just focused on winning the next game."
Jonas Källman left IFK Skövde in the Swedish domestic league back in and has since played for Ciudad Real, Atletico Madrid and MOL-Pick Szeged (he played in Skövde for a short while in ).
Still learning at 39
Källman has a resume that not many active players can present. He has won three EHF Champions League titles, five league titles in Spain and the Hungarian championship, just to name a few. But he is still one of the hungriest players out there.

It has been 13 years since Jonas Källman left Sweden to play handball abroad.
On Wednesday he is back in his homeland, but playing for the away team.
MOL-Pick Szeged visit IFK Kristianstad for the second meeting between the two clubs in less than a week. On Saturday, Szeged won at home against the Swedish champions and VELUX EHF Champions League debutants.
To Källman, returning to the southern part of Sweden will be a special experience in more than one sense.
“I was born in Växjö, which is only a half an hour drive from Kristianstad, so I have friends and relatives in the area who will attend the match, so at least, I will have some support among the spectators,” smiles the year-old Swedish international.
“Apart from that, I am not really sure how I will be received by the crowd in the Kristianstad Arena, but I hope that the fact that I play in the national team will at least earn me a bit of applause,” he adds, laughing.
