1. The 2M serie is based upon the OM serie but has a new design that matches more tonearms, the compliance is lower so works with more tonearms. The sonical character is also different, the 2M serie has a livelier and more dynamic and forward sound, the OM in comparision is a little more laidback. I was very happy with my OM20, but I know that there are those that likes the 2M serie. 2M Red or OM10, a matter of taste really.

In short one could say: 2M Red - OM10, 2M Blue - OM20, 2M Bronze - OM30, 2M Black - OM

2. It's easier to swap stylus than to install a new cartridge, but a new cartridge can of course be installed.
