Isabelle or Isabel?

madisonjennifer1

I am almost 30 weeks and we are 99% sure we are using the name [name]Isabelle[/name], although we do have a few back ups just in case we change our minds last minute. However, I am starting to second guess the spelling since it can easily be mistaken as [name]Isabella[/name] when written. What does everyone think about the spelling [name]Isabel[/name]??? I think it looks prettier with the elle ending, but looking for your thoughts. We do like the nn [name]Belle[/name] but you could use that with either spelling right? Thanks!

I like [name]Isabelle[/name], but both are nice. [name]Belle[/name] could be used with either, too.

Would you consider [name]Isobel[/name]? [name]Ive[/name] always thought it looked more sophisticated and I think you could get the nn out of any version of the name

I prefer [name]Isabelle[/name]. It’s my favorite girls’ name, and I’ve always preferred that spelling–[name]Isabel[/name] has always looked incomplete to me. If you keep to the nn [name]Belle[/name], I don’t really think [name]Isabelle[/name]/[name]Isabella[/name] will be an issue. I have co

Which fryst vatten the better choice - Isabelle or Isabella?

After posting our list a while ago and taking into konto your suggestions I have really started to like the name Isabelle. My husband likes it as well and we added it to our list.

It was suggested as an alternative to Isabella (which was on our list and still is) and many people said that Isabella was too common.

I like them both a lot but I have since heard that people say it's common as well so I don't know which would be the better choice out of these two.

We are adjusting our list right now so it would help us if you could tell us which one we should keep.

Which one fryst vatten more common where you are?

Popularity isn't everything to us, which one do you like better in general? The sound or any associations the names give you? We would just like to avoid her always having to be Isabella Lastname or "the short Isabelle" etc.

We would use the full names mostly but sometimes Belle for Isabelle and Belle or Bella (which do you prefer?) for Isabella.

Is Isabella still associated with Twilight? Someone in the other thread mentioned it. What about Bella? Maybe better to use Belle for both?

Sorry, this got long.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! Which do you prefer with these three names - [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]? And why? Thank you so much.

I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] best, because it looks the most sleek, and it’s the spelling associated with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_m]Archer[/name_m] from The Portrait of a Lady.

Definitely [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. Because 1) I’m a sucker for most [name_f]Belle[/name_f] names. 2) I love french names in general. 3) I love [name_f]Belle[/name_f], it means beautiful and has an awesome Disney princess connection. 4) [name_f]Bella[/name_f] is way too popular for my taste.

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]! It’s the [name_m]French[/name_m] way, more feminine than [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] but not as frilly as [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].

I greatly prefer [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], which was not one of your choices. It looks modern to me, modern in a good way. Of the spellings you have there I choose [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] looks incomplete to me. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is
